Problems with Nokia Lumia 900 4G (AT&T)

Postby kainis2k » Thu Apr 19, 2012 6:53 pm

So I've run into a few issues the past few days and it seems to be hit or miss. I haven't been able to narrow down the root cause exactly but in some areas, even if I have full 4G Signal, I've noticed that data in the app will stop loading for me. I will eventually get a message stating that the connection to the server can't be established. At this point, the internet on the phone completely stops working. Anything data-related becomes non-functional. The only way I have found to fix this is to either reset the phone or to first close the app, then to put the phone into Airplane Mode and then back off of Airplane Mode. Once this has been completed, I have to re-start the app and hope that it doesn't do it again, otherwise I have to repeat the process until it works.

Hi

Have you updated your phone with the latest patches? There was an issue with the Lumia 900 that was causing data connectivity issues - http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and ... ug-1076262

Let me know if that's not your issue.

THanks

Thanks for the reply. I had actually downloaded the update a day before I had downloaded your app. Upon checking last night if there were any new updates with the phone connected to Zune, I get nothing. I was playing just this morning, where I will typically have full bars of 4G connectivity around the clock and the app lost connection. When I pulled down the signal bar, all of the signal was gone and I could not connect to anything until I closed the app down for 10-15 seconds. After this, the signal came back and I was able to re-load the map and parse the territories. This is a little different from the issues I've been having because typically the signal bar will still register full bars but I just won't have any data connectivity until I put the phone into airplane mode and back out or just simply reboot the phone. I had to do this about 10-15 times yesterday when I was out and about trying to capture territories in my home town. - We don't have LTE yet here in Louisville, KY, but 4G is pretty strong just about everywhere.
